Frequently asked questions
What should I look for in a subtitle generator?
The essentials are accuracy, SRT export, timestamps, and a reasonable price. Many editors bundle subtitle tools at $12–$24/month even if you only need subtitles. sipdigest.com generates SRT from any video URL at $9.9/month (Plus) with a 7-day refund.
Is CapCut subtitles free?
CapCut auto-captions are free in the consumer app, which is great for quick edits on short clips. The trade-offs are platform lock-in (CapCut export workflow) and watermark/tier restrictions in some regions; for clean SRT files you own, a transcription tool like sipdigest.com is more direct.
Which subtitle generator is best for YouTube videos without downloading them?
If the video is already on YouTube, you do not need to download it: paste the URL into sipdigest.com and export SRT directly. This avoids copyright/download hassles and works for TikTok, podcasts and Twitch too.
How do sipdigest.com prices compare with VEED or Descript?
VEED starts around $12/month and Descript around $12–$24/month, both bundling full video editing. sipdigest.com is $9.9/month (Plus) for transcription + SRT + AI summaries, with a flat plan and one-click cancel — no credit-based billing.
